Our Story:

Lota Spice is our newest sister company to Lotawata Creek Southern Grill and Lotawata Creek's Chk'n Shack. Lotawata Creek was founded by the Archer brothers in 1996. For decades they have been one of the most popular restaurants in the Saint Louis Metro Area.  Lotawata Creek has served millions of people over the years and has now decided to give people the taste at home with our signature spice blends.

Our house seasoning blend with all of the flavor but none of the salt! Lota Spice was created when one of the founding brothers was hospitalized for high blood pressure and was advised to limit his sodium intake. After this diagnosis, him and his wife went to the store to see the sodium-free spice options available. He realized there were no great options on the market and decided it was time to create his own. For months, the spice was carefully curated to help those who have faced a similar challenge finding a tasty salt-free alternative.
